Terms of Service

By creating an IdleDev account, installing the IdleDev CLI, or running a campaign, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

IdleDev sells one-line sponsored placements in AI-coding tools (today: the Claude Code status bar). Developers install the CLI and earn a 65% share of every paid impression and click. Advertisers fund campaigns in their local currency; settlement is in INR via Cashfree.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Companies must be properly registered.

3. Developer (publisher) terms

• Only real human activity counts. Bots, headless agents, click farms, VM swarms, and any form of incentivized clicks are grounds for forfeiture of the balance and a permanent ban.
• Daily and hourly caps apply ($50/hour, $300/day per device). Circumvention attempts forfeit the balance.
• 🇮🇳 India-first: payouts are denominated in INR. Minimum payout: ₹500. We pay via UPI (India). Global rails (PayPal / Wise) coming soon.
• Signup payouts only credit once the advertiser's host site confirms the signup via postback.

4. Advertiser terms

• All copy must be truthful, legal, and free of malware, deceptive offers, adult content, hate speech, or illegal goods. We may reject or remove campaigns at our discretion.
• Budgets are paid in advance via Cashfree. Spend is debited per impression and per click at the live market rate. Unspent budget rolls over until the campaign ends.
• If you enable verified signup tracking, you authorize IdleDev to share the postback email you provide with the host site for conversion confirmation, and you confirm you have user consent to do so.
• Refunds: unspent budget is refundable within 30 days of campaign end, minus a 5% processing fee. Spent budget is non-refundable except in cases of confirmed invalid traffic, in which case we credit the difference.

5. Intellectual property

The IdleDev brand, code, dashboards, and trademarks are ours. No one may copy or reuse IdleDev's underlying technical strategy or implementation.

• You get a personal, non-exclusive license to use the IdleDev CLI to participate as a developer, and to use the IdleDev dashboards to run your own campaigns.
• Please don't scrape the service, mirror our dashboards, or pass off our brand and copy as your own.
• Don't stress-test, fuzz, or probe production without giving us a heads-up first. Write to contact@idledev.xyz and we're usually happy to help.

6. Acceptable use

No fraud, no malware, no spam, no automated scraping, no attempts to interfere with ad serving or payout calculation, no attempts to deanonymize developers, no violation of any law.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or the Privacy Policy. On termination, advertisers receive any unspent verified budget less the 5% processing fee; developers with forfeited balances due to fraud receive nothing.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, IdleDev's aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the greater of (a) amounts paid to or earned by you in the 90 days preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100.
